Overview:
Sentinel Safety & Security Group, LLC is a dynamic strategic ownership group rapidly growing operations in the design, fabrication, installation, and maintenance of commercial fire sprinkler systems. We are looking to expand our team to include an IT Support Technician in our Appleton, WI corporate office.
The IT Support Technician is responsible for providing technical assistance and support to end-users, resolving hardware and software issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of the company's IT infrastructure. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, technical expertise, and excellent communication abilities.

IT Support Technician Responsibilities:
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Provide first-line support for hardware, software, and technology-related issues. Identifying and fixing issues, including viruses, system errors, and network interruptions.
- Perform routine maintenance and updates on computers and mobile devices, including installing and configuring software, hardware, and network devices.
- Installing and configuring software and hardware, including computers, printers, copiers, and mobile devices, such as phones, tablets, etc.
- Monitor and manage IT assets, ensuring proper inventory, documentation, and disposal of obsolete equipment.
- Assist with network administration tasks, including managing user accounts, permissions, and network connectivity.
- Implement and enforce IT security policies and procedures. Assist with the identification and mitigation of security vulnerabilities.
- Work closely with other IT team members and departments to support ongoing projects and initiatives.
- Maintaining technical documentation, support requests, and maintenance schedules.
- User Training: Assist in the training of end-users on company software and IT best practices. Provide orientation and guidance to users on how to operate new software and computer equipment.
IT Support Technician Qualifications:
Professional and Educational Experience:
- A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in an IT support role or similar position.
- Certifications: CompTIA A , Network , or other relevant IT certifications are a plus.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting and analytical skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Customer-focused attitude with a commitment to delivering high-quality support and service.
- Proficiency in operating systems such as Windows, iOS, Android, Microsoft Office Suite, and common IT hardware and software.
- Experience with hardware components, including desktops, laptops, printers, and networking equipment.
