Systems and Network Administrator

Sentinel is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Systems and Network Administrator with 2-5 years of experience to join our clients dynamic IT team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical foundation and a passion for problem-solving. You will be responsible for maintaining and improving the IT infrastructure, ensuring system security, and supporting end-users. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with cutting-edge technologies and delivering exceptional customer service. This position is contract to hire and 100% onsite in Chicago, IL.

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain Active Directory (AD) environments.
• Implement and monitor antivirus solutions for system security.
• Support basic Cisco networking (port and switch configuration).
• Manage Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) solutions.
• Troubleshoot and maintain PC hardware and endpoints.
• Configure DNS settings and support virtual environments with hypervisors.
• Support both Windows and Linux OS.
• Use deployment technologies for system rollouts and manage patch processes.

Requirements:

• Knowledge of networking (TCP/UDP, DNS, port configuration, trunk/access ports).
• Proficiency in Active Directory, Windows/Linux OS management, and hypervisors.
• Experience with MFA, endpoint security, and patch management.
• Strong hardware troubleshooting and switch configuration skills.
• Must exhibit a "can-do" attitude

Compensation Range:

Hourly Pay Range: $33.00/hr 36.00/hr
