What are the responsibilities and job description for the Communications Technician position at Sentinel?
- Must have an associate degree in telecommunications, electrical engineering, computer networking, or related discipline.
- Must have a current/valid General Radiotelephone operators license
- Proficient knowledge of FCC rules, electronics, telecommunications systems, and computer diagnostics.
- Knowledge of electronics and electrical power, FM Radio systems, LAN/WAN and data cabling systems, routers and hubs, grounding systems, ISDN and data telecommunications
- Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted
- Position requires standing, squatting, climbing, and lifting from floor to waist and from waist to over shoulders
- The candidate must have a car, as this position requires travel between location and the transportation of equipment
- A valid driver’s license and proof of vehicle insurance will be required
- Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
- Must demonstrate a “can-do” attitude
