Total compensation range: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
As a Human Resources Manager for Sentry Auto Group’s Ford, Lincoln and Mazda dealerships, you will play a pivotal role in handling weekly payroll and regular benefits and compliance efforts as well as sourcing, attracting, and selecting top talent to join our dynamic team. You will oversee recruitment and hiring, helping to solicit and screen applicants to yield the best possible job candidates; you also will manage payroll processing and employee benefits, ensuring timely and accurate disbursement and compliance with all laws and regulations, while fostering a positive and supportive workplace environment. Your expertise in human resources, combined with your passion for the automotive industry, will drive the success of our recruitment efforts, ensuring that we continue to thrive in a competitive market.
Responsibilities:
- Onboarding and Orientation:
- Facilitate smooth onboarding processes, coordinating orientation sessions and customizing plans for different roles and departments.
- Ensure compliance with Massachusetts state and federal laws regarding onboarding procedures, including the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), Family Medical Leave Act, and the Massachusetts Wage Act.
- Payroll Processing and Benefits Administration
- Track/verify/process timecards on weekly basis
- Process/verify weekly payroll entries, wage garnishments, voluntary deductions and child support
- Manage and process health benefits including health, dental, FSA/HSA, life, long term disability
- Administer weekly record keeping of 401K and FSA accounts
- Compliance and Documentation:
- Stay updated on federal laws such as Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA) along with Massachusetts state laws governing wage and hour compliance, paid family and medical leave (PFML)
- Administer the process of workers compensation claims with insurance carrier
- Maintain OSHA logs and online reporting, including annual audit
- Maintain employee handbook and acknowledgements
- Oversee open enrollment
- Administer all year end reporting (W2, ACA, etc)
- Utilize ATS platforms to ensure compliance with record-keeping requirements.
- Recruitment Strategy Development:
- Collaborate with senior management to develop comprehensive recruitment strategies aligned with dealership group goals.
- Optimize job postings on platforms like Indeed and ZipRecruiter, maximizing visibility to potential candidates.
- Talent Sourcing and Attraction:
- Proactively source high-caliber candidates through online job boards, social media, networking events, and industry associations.
- Help foster relationships with colleges and technical schools to attract top graduates.
- Candidate Evaluation and Selection:
- Facilitate smooth onboarding processes for new hires, including coordinating orientation sessions, preparing welcome packages, and conducting follow-up activities to support integration into the dealership.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to ensure a positive candidate experience and efficient decision-making tailored to the specific needs of different roles and departments.
- Leverage technology to streamline candidate communication and assessment processes.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in human resource management, payroll processing, recruitment and hiring, ideally within the auto dealership industry.
- Strong knowledge of recruitment best practices, candidate sourcing techniques, and talent acquisition strategies.
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to build rapport with candidates and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in HR and recruitment software such as ADP Workforce Now or similar applications.
