We are currently looking for a full time Senior Account Manager to manage a state government contract account. This position will oversee and manage security officers on our VCU Account. The main responsibilities of this position include :
- Hire and onboard new employees by adding employees to all company online systems
- Manage background checks for new and existing employees
- Manage drug testing for new and existing employees
- Maintain each employee's personnel file and ensure all files contain required forms and documentation
- Manage and track all employee licenses, credentials, and certifications to ensure each credential is timely renewed
- Enter employees' licenses and certifications into the company's license tracking system
- Assist with benefits administration, including but not limited to creating, managing, and updating an employee census for health insurance
- Hold disciplinary meetings with employees when needed
- Draft comprehensive and concise disciplinary documents such as write-ups for employee infractions
- Conduct orientation meetings with new employees to explain company policies
- Communicate and meet with certain clients via email and in-person
- Order new office supplies when needed
- Answer office phones
- Provide training classes for officers on a PT basis
- Other duties as assigned
This position manages a 24 / 7 contract and will need to be available at all times of day to deal with any issues or questions that arise. Candidates must be available to be on call and available outside of normal business hours including weekends. Candidates MUST have their own reliable transportation .
This is a salaried position. The starting salary for this position is $90,000 / year to start benefits.

Successful candidates must have a minimum of 2-3 years of managerial experience in the security management field and some experience in training employees. Candidates with a DCJS security license (armed and / or unarmed) are strongly preferred, but not required. In order to apply, please respond to this ad with the following :

Must possess a minimum of 2-3 years of security management management experience
Must pass a comprehensive background investigation (both internal and independent State Police background check)
Must pass a drug test
Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel
Must have a working smartphone
Must be available to work on-call and weekends if needed
Must work well with others
