What are the responsibilities and job description for the Direct Support Professional position at Sentry Services and Supports?
A Direct Support Professional provides support services to individuals with intellectual disabilities. The services are provided in the home and community settings and assist individuals in acquiring, maintaining and improving the skills necessary to reside and function independently within their community.
Services consist of support in the general areas of self-care, communication, fine and gross motor development, mobility, personal adjustment, relationship development, socialization, transportation, independent living and use of community resources. All services provided must support the outcomes listed within the individuals support plan.
