The Communications Specialist will play a pivotal role in shaping our communications strategy, bringing exceptional writing skills, effective storytelling, and a collaborative mindset to a dynamic team. You’ll have the opportunity to take on exciting projects that make a real impact. The team is going to elevate current communications efforts, and the Communications Specialist as a key driver of our awareness strategy. This position is integral to our marketing team, contributing to SEON’s mission to lead the fraud-fighting space. Reporting directly to Communications Director , this role offers the chance to influence how we connect with our audience and expand our reach.
This role is based in Austin with a hybrid schedule, coming into the office a few days a week.

What You’ll Do:
- Collaborate with stakeholders across various departments and help develop messaging and content for internal and external audiences
- Work with PR agencies on media relations campaigns
- Help measure engagement and effectiveness of internal/external campaigns
What You’ll Bring:
- At least three years in PR/Internal Communications
- Strong storytelling abilities
- Ability to develop compelling content quickly
- Experience working alongside leadership and various internal teams
- A drive to get better at your job every day with a competitive spirit
- The ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment
- Strong writing and interpersonal skills
- Basic knowledge of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) practices and analytics tools (like Google Analytics)
- Ability to manage projects, including timelines, deliverables, and coordination with other team members and stakeholders
- Digital PR and marketing trends
- Experience with programs like PowerPoint
Amazing If You Also Have:
- Experience with employee engagement initiatives
- Experience in industries in banking, finance, fintech, or payments
- Previous start-up experience (in SaaS)
