Materials Specialist

Status: Fulltime, Exempt

Company Overview:

Seoyon E-HWA, a leading manufacturer of automotive interior parts, is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Materials Specialist to join our team. This role will be responsible for managing the movement and control of materials and inventory across the production process. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in materials management, experience using SAP and Excel for inventory tracking, and a keen eye for accuracy to ensure seamless production flow. This role requires a proactive problem-solver who can work efficiently and collaborate with various teams to maintain optimal inventory levels and material flow 

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials to ensure timely and efficient production.
• Use SAP to track inventory levels, update material records, and manage material movement in real time.
• Create, update, and maintain material requisitions, purchase orders, and work orders within SAP.
• Utilize Excel to analyze inventory data, generate reports, and monitor material consumption trends.
• Ensure all incoming materials are inspected for quality and accuracy, working with suppliers and vendors to resolve any discrepancies.
• Track and manage inventory levels to prevent shortages, overstocking, or production delays.
• Support production by delivering materials to workstations and ensuring parts are available when needed.
• Conduct cycle counts, material audits, and reconciliation of inventory discrepancies in coordination with the warehouse and production teams.
• Monitor and maintain proper storage of materials to ensure safety, compliance, and prevent product damage.
• Collaborate with the procurement and planning departments to ensure materials are available for upcoming production runs.
• Assist in managing waste and scrap materials in line with environmental and regulatory standards.
• Generate regular reports in Excel on material usage, inventory status, and trends for management review.
• Assist in identifying areas for process improvement within materials management to increase efficiency and reduce material wastage.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of material movements, inventory transactions, and quality inspections.
• Participate in regular safety training and adhere to safety protocols in the materials handling process. 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, logistics or related field
• 1 years of experience in a logistics or manufacturing environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
• Familiarity with SAP.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
