Safety Coordinator

As we expand our operations, we are searching for a talented and extremely motivated Safety Coordinator to oversee the company’s safety program.

Summary of position:

The Safety Coordinator will work closely cross functionally with senior management and staff to ensure company safety protocols, processes and procedures are followed in compliance with company policies and OSHA standards. This job will be performed in the plant at our Hutto TX location and isn’t eligible for remote or hybrid work.

Responsibilities

· Acts as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide safety support to all areas of the plant

· Assist in the coordination of the company’s safety directives

· Identify safety hazards and risks to avoid workplace hazards and provide corrective action

· Develop and implement safety education material for new hires and monthly training sessions

· Conduct job-specific safety training sessions and maintain accurate safety records

· Plan, coordinate and communicate safety regulations

· Investigates and reports all workplace incidents and near misses

· Coordinates with the HR department for all Worker’s Comp Claims

· Promote the company’s policy on environmental standards

· Maintain OSHA 300 logs

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

· Must understand (LOTO) Lockout/tagout standards to ensure safety and prevent potential hazards

· Must have knowledge and understanding of (JHA) Job Hazard Analysis

· A good understanding of a pre-task plan to identify potential hazards, outline necessary resources and establish clear protocols to mitigate risks

· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

· Knowledge and understanding of ISO 14001

· Exceptional attention to detail

· Excellent written and verbal communication

· Outstanding time management skills

· Capacity to lift and carry 45 lbs.

· Ability to provide after-hours support as necessary

· Willingness to provide support to all areas of the organization

Qualifications:

· AS/BS

· OSHA certifications

· CPR and First Aid certification

Salary range for this position is between $50,000 and $65,000 depending on experience
