Job Summary:

Sepax Technologies, Inc. seeks a highly motivated and creative scientist who can

work independently or with a team and develop and perform purification procedures and

analytical chromatographic methods. This full-time exempt position is based at our

headquarter office located in Newark, Delaware.

Basic Qualifications:

 BSc in protein biochemistry, cell biology, biology, molecular biology or related

field.

 Minimum 5 years of hand-on experience, preferably in an industrial research

environment, national lab and/or other core facility structure.

 Two or more years of protein purification techniques including affinity purification,

size exclusion, anion exchange, and/or multi-modal techniques

 Two or more years of experience with buffer exchange, TFF, and related process

techniques.

 Two or more years of experience in the operation and maintenance of AKTA

FPLC and Agilent HPLC systems.

 Experience with Unicorn, ChemStation/Open Lab software.

 Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.

 Excellent organizational and documentation skills with attention to detail.

 Positive attitude with ability to work well in a group environment.

 Physically fit to stand, bend and twist with the ability to lift 40 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications:

• MSc in protein biochemistry, cell biology, biology, molecular biology or related

field.

Responsibilities:

 Propose, implement, maintain, and deliver existing and/or new capabilities for the

purification of proteins.

 Deliver high quality materials with appropriate control experiments and

documentation.

 Maintain the equipment and manage the consumables in the purification

laboratory.

 Interpret the results of experiments and update protocols accordingly.

 Keep current with the latest developments and techniques in the field.

 Ensuring safety procedures and regulations are followed in the laboratory.

 Present research findings and updates in internal reports, project meetings, and

external scientific meetings when appropriate.
