What are the responsibilities and job description for the Yard/Forklift Operator position at Sepulveda Building Materials?
Job Purpose:
Sepulveda Building Materials is looking for a full-time material loader for our outside yard. Must be able to effectively interact with customers, Bilingual Spanish a plus, and preferably have some forklift experience.
Duties Of Material Loader (outside):
- Welcomes customers by greeting them; offering them assistance.
- Directs customers by escorting them to around the building material yard.
- Loads and stacks brick, block, cement, railroad ties, stepping stones, car stops, five (5) gallon containers, storage boxes, pipe, steel, and any other products sold.
- Inspects equipment which includes fluid levels, tires, gauges, lights, etc.
- Driving many types of equipment, i.e.; forklifts skip loaders, and small trucks.
- Loads and unloads the firewood trucks, company and customer vehicles
- Stacks and palletizes the firewood.
- Assembles barbecues, wheelbarrows, and saws.
- Receive materials off of truck, signs for goods received and verify receipts.
- Cleans bathrooms, windows, floors, batch plant and trailers, and company vehicles.
