The Key Account Manager – Outside Sales will carry out product demonstrations, answer queries, and provide detailed information about our products and services. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, a customer-oriented approach, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The Key Account Manager – Outside Sales will travel to various locations to represent our company and cultivate relationships with customers. The main responsibility is to interact with our clients, customers, and potential customers for all Sequel Wire and Cable projects and products.
Key Responsibilities
- Present, promote and sell products/services using solid arguments to existing and prospective customers
- Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships
- Reach out to customer leads through cold calling
- Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule
- Analyze the territory/market’s potential, track sales and status reports
- Supply management with trip reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of our products and services
- Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, and making recommendations to management
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and support teams to drive product sales and growth
- Project management with special projects as assigned.
- Ensures compliance with local, state and federal government requirements.
- Maintains the utmost confidentiality in all aspects of the company’s business and financial information.
- Performs other related duties as needed or assigned.

Education, Experience, and Other Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or similar field desired, MBA Preferred
- 3 years in relevant sales experience would be a plus.
- Experience with Microsoft Office (being highly proficient in Excel) and Rubicon software a plus.
- Proven track record of delivering successful results in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
- In-depth industry knowledge, excellent relationship management skills, and a proven track record of achieving sales targets
- Proficiency in communication and negotiation, problem-solving, and customer service
- Highly organized with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Results driven: Focused on individual and team success by being accountable to deadlines, customer needs and collaboratively working together to achieve these goals.
- Wire and cable industry experience strongly desired.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
- Must be able to traverse the production facilities as needed.
- Able to travel 70-80% of the time.
