This role oversees all aspects of the Salesforce platform, including user management, security, and integration with third-party applications. The candidate will manage sandbox environments, support platform enhancements, and provide Tier 3 technical support. Additionally, they will plan and manage Salesforce release cycles and oversee other applications like Quip and Box. Required skills include strong Salesforce product knowledge and at least 5 years of Salesforce Administration experience.
Responsibilities
Salesforce Platform Oversight
- Oversee all aspects of the Salesforce platform, including user management, security, roles/profiles, system settings, connected applications and more.
- Serve as the subject matter expert on the Salesforce platform, staying up to date on the latest features and functionality.
- Manage all Salesforce sandbox and development environments, ensuring proper configuration and usage.
- Support the integration and management of third-party applications and connections from vendors such as DocuSign, Envestnet Tamarac, Schwab, Fidelity, and more.
- Supervise consultants and independent contractors working within the Salesforce platform, ensuring adherence to security protocols and technical project management standards.
- Collaborate with Technology team members to review, implement, and maintain Salesforce enhancements as defined by the technology roadmap.
- Develop and oversee the automation strategy within the Salesforce platform, including the implementation of new automation processes.
- Manage the creation and maintenance of standard Salesforce Lightning reports and dashboards to support business needs.
- Provide Tier 3 technical support, addressing complex issues and ensuring platform stability and performance.
- Conduct regular system audits and prepare for Salesforce releases, ensuring minimal disruption and optimal performance.
- Assist with the development of training and documentation for end-users to maximize platform adoption and efficiency.
- Monitor and optimize Salesforce performance, identifying and resolving issues proactively.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and internal policies, maintaining data integrity and security.
- Support delivery of integration between Sequoia and newly acquired firms for CRM, data, systems and workflow as needed
Release Management
- Plan and manage Salesforce release cycles, including scheduling, coordinating, and overseeing all aspects of the release process in conjunction with the Project Management Office
- Collaborate with development and Project Management Office teams to ensure smooth and timely releases.
- Develop and maintain release management documentation, including release notes, deployment plans, and rollback procedures.
- Continuously improve release management processes to enhance efficiency and reduce risk.
Other Responsibilities
- Assist with the oversight, contract management and administration of other applications Sequoia uses such as Quip, Box, Docusign and more.
- Participate in the development and support of analytics and reporting projects
Requirements
Required Skills/Experience
- Strong Salesforce product knowledge and at least 5 years’ of Salesforce Administration.
- Certified Salesforce Administrator
Preferred Skills/Experience
- Strong Salesforce product knowledge and at least 7 years’ of Salesforce Administration.
- Hands-on experience with Financial Services cloud
- Additional Salesforce certifications (Advanced Administrator, Platform App Builder)
- Bachelor’s/Postgraduate degree, or professional qualification
