Join our team today as a Business Development Manager in support of our Citizen Services Business Unit, reporting to our VP Business Development. This is a Part-time Service on Call position reporting to our VP Business Development for Citizen Services. Hours work must have prior approval from VP Business Development.

The Business Development Manager will focus on the pursuit of opportunities consistent with the market segment focus of the Business Unit and Serco overall. Have a strong background in managed services, solutions and/or business process outsourcing as well as proven success in developing new business within the US Federal Civilian market.

In this role you will:
  • For a State Department pursuit, be responsible for arranging customer interaction for the capture team; develop bid solutioning and identify bid strengths; assist the capture team in positioning with the customer and influencing required changes to the procurement; identify key personnel and work with them to get them connected to the Serco hiring process; write as necessary; and develop labor-oriented BoEs.
  • Support the pursuit of major bid activities and must be a team player who knows how to create and manage the synergy among business development, operations, capture management, and proposal functions.
  • Use your domain expertise as well as an established professional network to support business development targets
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role you will possess the following:
  • Overall, ten years of experience with five years proven track record of working with or providing services to the targeted US Federal Government in Departments and Agencies such as Department of State, etc.
  • Domain expertise in Case Management and/or application processing and administration
  • Experience in managed services, solutions and/or BPO preferred,
  • Proven experience in the targeted domain, especially operationally.
  • Experience delivering the full life cycle of business development activities, including market analysis, accounts planning, account management, opportunity identification and qualification, overall pipeline management, and the development and execution of win strategies.
  • Must have excellent communications skills (verbal and written) and highly effective interpersonal skills to carry out daily interactions with technical leaders, business executives, customers, teammates/partners, and subcontractors.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
