Database Administrator

Position Description

Serco is looking for motivated Database Administrator to join our Air Force Depot Maintenance Application Consolidation Team. This individual will use their skills and expertise to perform Database Administration tasks supporting up to 60 Oracle 19c Databases . You will be part of a team comprised of government personnel and contractors that work closely with DISA and other programs to provide quality support and sustainment. Our team has been recognized by the US Air Force as providing top quality services in support of the customers.

This position is hybrid, with 2 days per week in the USAF Kettering office. 

In this role, you will:

• Supports 60 Oracle 19c database instances on RHEL platforms, including the development, test, training, mirror, and production environments.
• Using the Unix and SQL command lines, Administer multiple relational databases.
• Supports application of Oracle Security patches.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• US Citizenship
• 7 years of experience
• Bachelors Degree
• The ability to obtain a NACI Clearance
• Experience with Oracle 19c
• Experience with command line administration
• Experience applying Oracle security patches
• The ability to obtain CompTIA Security (or higher) within 45 days of start date
• The ability to travel up to 10% of the time.

Additional desired experience and skills:

• An active CompTIA Security (or higher) certification. 
• Experienced with Unix systems (current systems are Red hat Linux)
