Serena & Lily, a lifestyle brand, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Ecommerce Front-End Lead Developer.
This is a role critical in the team building and maintaining company’s ecommerce experience. Serenaandily.com is a new, state of the art MACH architecture and we are looking for a lead front-end developer to guide and mentor a group of talented remote developers, while working on exciting projects involving Vercel, Next.js, and numerous third-party integrations. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and guide a team of remote frontend developers, providing mentorship and support to ensure high-quality code and efficient project delivery
- Be hands-on in designing, developing and maintaining front-end components, interfaces, and user interactions using innovative web technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/TypeScript
- Ensure the application's user interface is responsive, intuitive, and visually appealing across various devices and platforms
- Utilize Vercel as the primary platform for deploying, managing, and scaling front-end applications and websites, ensuring optimal performance and stability
- Integrate third-party marketing tools and APIs into the frontend application
- Continuously analyze data insights to identify performance opportunities for improvement and drive data-driven decisions
- Enforce coding standards, best practices, and code reviews to maintain a high level of code quality and consistency throughout the development process
- Assist in releasing front-end deployments to production
- Monitor and assess production systems for resiliency and performance
- Monitor logs and alerts for production issues, responding accordingly
- Strong attention to detail and ability to notice errors or discrepancies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including backend developers, designers, and product owners, to define feature requirements and implement scalable solutions
- Stay updated with the latest front-end development trends, tools, and technologies, and share knowledge with the team to foster a culture of continuous learning
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Expert proficiency of JavaScript and frontend technologies - including HTML, CSS, Next.js, React.js, TypeScript, Node.js and GraphQL.
- Previous experience deploying and managing frontend applications on Vercel or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with integrating third-party marketing tools and APIs for seamless data exchange.
- Experience with headless CMS – e.g. Amplience or Contentful
- Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues, and a proactive approach to finding solutions.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and best practices in frontend development.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required
- Advanced degree is desirable
- Proven experience as a development Lead or similar role, showcasing successful management of remote development teams
- Ability to be self-motivated and curious is needed
- Understanding and appropriate experience with git/GitHub
This position is fully remote and can be located anywhere in the lower 48 states of the US. We are not currently able to offer sponsorship for this position.
COMPENSATION:
- $130-140K depending on experience

Employees can enroll in our company’s 401k plan. During the first year of employment, full-time employees accrue twenty-one days of PTO and seven paid holidays throughout the year.
