Role Description
This is a contract role as a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor/Intern (LCDC) and/or (LCDC-I) at Sereneco Wellness Center. The counselor intern will be responsible for providing counseling services to clients seeking support for chemical dependency.
- Performs psycho-social intakes and assessments, explores diagnoses with course of treatment.
- Completes substance abuse evaluations, makes recommendations if necessary for treatment as outlined in standards.
- Facilitates psycho-education classes, group therapy, and individual counseling.
- Screens for substance abuse, including physical and mental health status.
- Develops treatment plans, including measurable goals and objectives, and completes review for progress.
- Inputs clinical documentation into case management systems and case files in a timely manner for all services rendered with or on behalf of clients.
- Performs other related duties as required.
