What are the responsibilities and job description for the Wellness Coordinator position at Serenity Assisted Living?
- A Wellness Coordinator at Serenity plays a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for residents by fulfilling their physical, social, emotional, and cognitive needs through various activities, especially in the gym working on strength, balance and endurance.
- This position is part time (24-29 hours/week) and involves planning and executing life enrichment activities both on-site and off-site, ensuring a safe and engaging environment for residents:
- Assist with planning on-site and off-site life enrichment activities
- Determine supply needs for activities
- Set up and run exercises, individualized per resident.
- Set up and run activities
- Encourage resident participation in activities, especially the gym
- Provide resident supervision to ensure safety
- Follow HIPAA and all other Serenity policies
- Preferred degree in Exercise Science, Social Work, equivalent degree or 1 year equivalent experience
- Or interest in pursuing degree
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills and leadership/supervisory
- Complete and maintain required orientation and annual trainings.
- Be up to date with completing required QuantiFERON tests, Mantoux tests or chest x-rays.
- Must pass background study.
This position is responsible for assisting in the Wellness Program for both residents of Serenity Assisted Living and employees of the company.
