42000 Square feet facility on a 150 acres in WV over looking the Ohio River. A new state of the art treatment center.
Position: Clinical Director
Status: Exempt
Reports to: Executive Director
Hours: 40 hours (8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. may require evenings and some weekends) Monday-Friday
Description :
Responsible for overseeing and helping to developing the clinical department including
hiring, supervision, evaluation and scheduling. Develop programing using evidence
based practices and comprehensive integrated person-centered care. Provide training
to clinical staff. Candidates with a demonstrated ability to make critical clinical and
personnel decisions under pressure, and can provide clear dynamic supervision. The
clinical director will be responsible for ensuring that the clients receive quality care
and that the organization complies with federal, state, and local laws.
Qualifications :
- Option I: A psychologist licensed by the State of WV who possesses a doctorate degree in Psychology from an institution of higher education and has three years of experience in clinical psychology, preference given if to persons with administrative capacity and certification in addiction counseling with a three-year minimum working in an addiction treatment facility.
- Option II: A clinical social worker licensed by the State of WV who possesses a master’s degree in social work or an LPC that has five years of experience in mental health,
preference is given if there is two years in an administrative capacity, certified
addiction counselor with three-year minimum working in an addiction treatment facility
- Demonstrated ability to deal successfully with program and/or accreditation standards
- Competency in providing cognitive and behavioral interventions to individuals, families, couples, and groups with behavioral health/ substance abuse problems in a primary care setting
- Knowledge of the ASAM levels of care preffered
- Support evidence based practices that support social and emotional well-being, prevention approaches, person-centered interventions and self-directed and/or recovery driven support services.
- Support a holistic approach
- Valid WV license and/or certification
- Must pass a background and reference check
- No criminal record
- Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record
- Reliable transportation
Job duties:
Works effectively with the facility leadership team to ensure success of the facility by completing the following:
- Develops effective clinical programming and ensures staff compliance to the curriculum
- Proficiently audits documentation to ensure compliance to company policy, state regulations, Joint Commission Standards, Medical Needs Criteria, ASAM criteria Patient Level of Care Guidelines and EVP. This includes:
- Biopsychosocial Assessment
- Integrated Summary
- Comprehensive Problem List
- Integrated Master Treatment Plan and updates
- Individual, family and group therapy session notes
- Discharge summary
- Regularly monitors group therapy sessions to ensure quality programming is delivered and to ensure compliance to the program curriculum
- Meets with all employees weekly to provide feedback on documentation and therapeutic performance and to provide guidance and coaching as needed
- Coordinates the integrated multi-disciplinary team that each patient will be assigned
- Participates in the implementation of overall strategic goals and actively assumes
- responsibility for implementing policies and standard operation procedures
- Ensures the organization has an effective and consistent communication system across regions that promote the organizational network
- Run operations meetings weekly, as assigned
- Approve staff availability and assignments
- Conduct planning and problem solving as required
- Develop and implement staff management goals including disciplinary feedback as needed
- Conduct annual and periodic employee reviews and participate in hiring and employee disciplinary processes as needed
- Manage programs to ensure high employee retention and employee satisfaction
- Manage and oversee client intervention teams (clinicians, supervisors) to ensure effective programming, team communication, program development, and collaboration with outside agencies/service providers
- Meet with Executive Director weekly to discuss reports, clinical prescription fulfillment, Family concerns, funding source communication/updates, productivity, etc.
- Work with licensed clinicians and department managers as required to support staff
- Attend case review meetings as needed with funding sources, with knowledge of intervention plans to discuss as needed
- Supervise/mentor, review, provide feedback, and/or edit clinical reports as required
