Information Technology Specialist

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Information Technology Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in IT support and a keen interest in emerging technologies, particularly in the field of quantum engineering. This role is essential for maintaining our IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, and supporting our staff with technical issues.

Duties

• Provide technical support to end-users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues efficiently.
• Manage and maintain network systems, ensuring security protocols are followed.
• Install, configure, and upgrade computer systems and applications as needed.
• Monitor system performance and implement improvements to enhance efficiency.
• Collaborate with team members on IT projects, especially those related to quantum engineering initiatives.
• Document technical processes and maintain accurate records of system configurations and updates.
• Conduct training sessions for staff on new technologies and software applications.
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in technology to recommend improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
• Proven experience in IT support or a similar role.
• Familiarity with quantum engineering concepts is highly desirable.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment.
• Knowledge of network security practices and protocols is a plus.
