Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Driver

Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Transport Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting passengers to their destinations while providing excellent customer service. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and adherence to traffic regulations, ensuring a comfortable and secure travel experience for all passengers.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate various types of vehicles, including wheelchair vans, to transport passengers.
• Maintain a clean and well-functioning vehicle by performing regular inspections and basic maintenance.
• Provide exceptional customer service by assisting passengers with boarding and disembarking, as well as addressing any inquiries or concerns.
• Follow designated routes and schedules while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Ensure the safety of all passengers during transit, including the proper use of seat belts and other safety equipment.
• Assist with special transportation needs, such as paratransit services for individuals with disabilities.
• Keep accurate records of trips, including passenger counts and any incidents that may occur during transport.

Skills

• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with passengers.
• Valid driver’s license with appropriate endorsements for the type of vehicle operated.
• Ability to maintain a calm demeanor in stressful situations while ensuring passenger safety.
• Knowledge of local traffic laws and regulations related to driving.
• Experience in paratransit services is advantageous but not required.
• Strong organizational skills to manage schedules and routes efficiently.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
