- Review & Prepare Job Specifications: Carefully review job tickets to understand product specifications and ensure all requirements are met before production begins.
- Press Setup & Operation: Configure the press, including the sheet feeding system, to ensure smooth and efficient operation.
- Screen & Film Management: Inspect films, install screens, and align registers with precision to maintain print accuracy.
- Quality Control & Color Consistency: Approve or assign approval for ink color, fit, and margins while continuously monitoring color consistency throughout the production run.
- Material Handling: Load and unload materials, including racking and deracking trucks, to support efficient workflow.
- Routine Maintenance: Perform scheduled preventive maintenance to keep the press running at peak performance.
- Inventory & Supply Management: Use computer systems to order materials and ink, ensuring necessary supplies are available for uninterrupted production.
- Manufacturing Support: Oversee the work of a manufacturing assistant, providing guidance and ensuring proper support for press operations.
- Press Support Operations: Assist with additional tasks, such as reloading the feeder and setting up the sheet stacker, to maintain production efficiency.
- Effective Communication: Collaborate with coworkers across shifts to ensure smooth job transitions and address any operational concerns.
- Adherence to Quality Standards: Follow established quality systems in the assigned work area and ensure compliance with Serigraph’s business quality standards.
- Team Collaboration: Participate in APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning), PDE (Product Development Engineering), and other team meetings as needed.
- Environmental Compliance: Follow all environmental policies and procedures, properly handling and disposing of materials in accordance with regulations.
- Product Quality Assurance: Take ownership of product quality, with the authority to stop production if necessary. Immediately report any issues to management to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Respirator Compliance: Must meet medical and fit-testing requirements for respirator use.
- Reliability & Punctuality: Consistently arrives on time and ready to work.
- Reading & Interpretation Skills: Ability to accurately read and interpret work instructions and job tickets.
- Effective Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to clearly address issues and collaborate with team members.
- ERP System Proficiency: Capable of accurately entering required information into the Titan ERP system.
- Safety & Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with departmental and company safety protocols, housekeeping standards, and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
