What are the responsibilities and job description for the Screen Press Operator position at Serigraph?
**10 hour Days**
**Monday-Thursday 6:30am-4:30pm**
Serigraph is seeking a detail-oriented Screen Press Operator to join our team. In this role, you will operate a hand-fed screen press to ensure production goals for quality and quantity are met.
\n- Ensure quality control by stopping production when necessary and informing management of non-conforming products or processes.
- Review job tickets to verify product specifications.
- Perform press setup, including drawing margins, reviewing films, installing screens, and making necessary adjustments.
- Approve and monitor ink color, fit, and margins for accuracy.
- Load and unload materials, including racking/deracking trucks.
- Perform tear-down and cleaning of the press and screens.
- Conduct inspections at scheduled intervals to maintain quality standards.
- Maintain accurate production records on job tickets and drying tags.
- Carry out routine and preventive maintenance according to schedule.
- Oversee and support the Manufacturing Assistant assigned to the press.
- Communicate job-related concerns with team members across shifts.
- Follow all current quality systems in the assigned work area.
- Participate in APQP (Auto) or PDE team meetings as needed.
- Adhere to environmental policies and ensure proper handling of materials.
- Support Serigraph’s quality business system and understand the use of SPECS.
- Promote sustainability by reducing waste, recycling, and saving energy through effective process control.
- Respirator Compliance: Must meet medical and fit-testing requirements for respirator use.
- Punctuality: Consistently show up to work on time, ready to contribute to the team's success.
- Work Instructions: Demonstrate the ability to read and interpret work instructions accurately, ensuring tasks are carried out effectively.
- Communication: Communicate any issues or concerns clearly and promptly to promote a collaborative and problem-solving work environment.
- Quality Focus: Pay close attention to quality at every stage of the process, upholding our commitment to delivering top-notch products and services.
- ERP System: Proficiency in entering the required information into our ERP system, contributing to efficient and accurate record-keeping.
- Safety and Housekeeping: Possess knowledge of and adhere to good departmental and company safety, housekeeping, and personal protective equipment (PPE) practices to maintain a safe and organized work environment.
- Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required for this position. We value the foundational education and skills that it represents as a minimum qualification for this role.
