Director of Programs & Membership Services – Sertoma International
Sertoma International (a 501c3 organization), founded in 1912 and headquartered in Kansas City, MO, is one of the oldest service organizations in the U.S. Our mission is simple - SERvice TO MAnkind. Sertoma provides a myriad of programs and services to enable our clubs and members to meet the needs of their respective communities. Nationally, and at the club level, we are bound together by our shared mission of hearing health and serving the deaf and hard-of-hearing community.
Sertoma is seeking a full-time program director to lead the development and oversight of programs and services while interacting with 5,000 members in approximately 225 U.S., Canada & Mexico clubs.
Program & Membership Director general responsibilities include…
· Oversee daily operations of member services
· Development, oversight, and evaluation of programs that are easy to execute by a diverse set of members
· Manage annual fundraising campaign that supports member programs
· Coordinate volunteer efforts around the annual fundraising campaign
· Building relationships with potential partners, both at national and local levels
· Regular communication with clubs and their members
· Information management
· General promotion of programs and services to Sertomans
· Some travel is required
Required skills, education & background:
o Comfortability interacting in-person, on the phone, and via technology with a variety of constituents
o Database familiarity
o Microsoft Office Programs
o Excellent written and verbal communication skills
o Ability to visualize processes and suggest/execute improvements
o Customer service
o Social media familiarity
o Attention to detail
o Familiarity with hearing health is helpful, but not required
o Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred)
The Director of Programs and Membership Services works as part of a small team of individuals in Kansas City, MO. We are looking for a full-time program director to develop new programs and redesign existing ones for clubs and members to utilize in their communities. The individual hired for this position needs to be a highly organized leader who can visualize growth in collaboration with the Sertoma Executive Director. A background in human services, nonprofit management, or hearing health, would be helpful but is not required.
There is no typical day at Sertoma International. On any given day you will communicate with members, collaborate with club leaders, or connect with national partners. Ultimately, you will be responsible for delivering programs that have an impact in the communities we serve.
Working for Sertoma International
The salary range for this position is $55-60,000. The position receives full benefits, including employer-paid retirement after one year, insurance, paid time off, and a flexible, hybrid office environment.

Salary : $55,000 - $60,000
