The Logistics and Fleet Coordinator is responsible for managing the transportation and delivery of animal feed to farms, ensuring efficient and timely distribution. This role involves coordinating vehicle maintenance, optimizing delivery routes, scheduling drivers, and ensuring compliance with safety and agricultural regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, experience in logistics, and an understanding of farm operations and rural delivery challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
Logistics & Delivery Coordination:
Plan and optimize farm delivery routes to ensure cost-effective and timely transportation.
Work closely with farm clients, suppliers, and internal teams to coordinate feed shipments.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, driver logs, and inventory movement.
Ensure proper documentation for feed transportation, including invoices and load manifests.
Resolve transportation issues such as road restrictions, weather disruptions, or customer requests.
Fleet Management:
Oversee the scheduling, dispatch, and tracking of delivery trucks transporting livestock feed.
Monitor fuel usage, vehicle performance, and maintenance schedules to maximize efficiency.
Ensure all trucks comply with safety, environmental, and agricultural regulations.
Manage vehicle registration, insurance, and regulatory documentation.
Respond to breakdowns, accidents, or delivery delays, coordinating solutions promptly.
Driver & Team Management:
Assign drivers and trucks based on daily delivery schedules and order priorities.
Train drivers on safety regulations, company policies, and efficient farm deliveries.
Monitor driver performance, conduct evaluations, and implement improvement strategies.
Manage driver schedules, overtime, and compliance with working hour regulations.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Agriculture, or a related field (preferred).
Proven experience in logistics, transportation coordination, or fleet management.
Familiarity with agricultural supply chain operations and rural delivery logistics.
Strong knowledge of transportation regulations, vehicle maintenance, and safety standards.
Proficiency in logistics software, GPS tracking, and route optimization tools.
Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle unexpected delivery challenges.
Valid driver’s license (CDL or other certifications may be a plus).
Working Conditions:
Combination of office work and field coordination, including visits to farms and feed distribution points.
May require working outside regular business hours to accommodate farm delivery schedules.

Pay: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
