The role requires superior analytical skills, as well as a demonstrated ability to collaborate across a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
The Corporate Accountant will primarily support the Finance and Accounting teams and work closely with team members in Operations, Human Resources, Marketing, and Sales across the global Serverfarm organization.
As the Corporate Accountant, you will oversee day-to-day activities of the corporate entities. The responsibilities will include ownership corporate reconciliations, fixed asset, miscellaneous tax reporting, as well as looking for opportunities to streamline and optimize operations. This person will work with and report directly to the controller.
\n- Manage the day-to-day corporate general ledger processes.
- Perform corporate account bank reconciliations and credit card reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records.
- Oversee corporate accounts payable and receivables functions.
- Review and post journal entries, including payroll, insurance, and rent entries.
- Record and manage corporate fixed assets, ensuring accurate depreciation and asset tracking.
- Review and process employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Prepare and file tax returns, including preparation of 1099s.
- Review and post journal entries, including payroll, insurance, and rent entries.
- Assist in developing and maintaining corporate travel policies.
- Assist in maintaining and managing corporate intercompany relationships.
- Assist in the preparation of audit work papers.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or similar field is required
- 5 years of experience in the accounting field
- Experience in real estate and asset management is a plus
- Experience working in Netsuite is a plus
- Experience working in multiple currencies is a plus
- Ability to handle multiple projects at one time and work in a high-volume, fast-paced transaction-oriented environment
- Growth-oriented mindset, desire to learn and share knowledge to help others succeed
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; advanced Excel skills preferred
