Service Inc of Illinois is dedicated to helping people with developmental delays and disabilities find the services and support they need to live a better life through our case management and advocacy services. We cover 22 counties in Illinois and our corporate headquarters are in Joliet.
We are seeking an experienced, knowledgeable and highly organized HR Manager to come join our great team of staff.

As the HR Manager, your Essential Job Functions include, but are not limited to:
- Managing the Human Resources function of the agency including responsibility for evaluating, developing, and overseeing legally compliant human resources policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Collaborating with the Executive Management Team and Program Management Teams to provide insight and work through complex employment and personnel issues ensuring that outcomes are fair, consistent, and equitable.
- Overseeing the administration of Family and Medical Leave Act and other sanctioned leaves of absence to qualified staff.
- Managing the administration of the Americans with Disabilities Act including reasonable accommodations and the interactive dialogue process.
- Developing and maintaining a board-approved current employee handbook.
- Overseeing and documenting all employee investigations, including assisting the Human Resources Department to complete safety investigations.
- Providing support and guidance to management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise.
Required Education, Certification and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management or Business Administration (Required)
- Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) Certified Professional Certification (CP) or Senior Certified Professional Certification (SCP) (Preferred)
- Minimum four-years’ professional level experience in a Human Resources Department (Required)
- Minimum of two-years’ of prior professional supervisory or leadership experience (Required)
- Minimum of one-year of prior supervisory experience in Human Resources (Preferred)
- Extensive knowledge of current Human Resources Practices, State and Federal employment policies, procedures, and requirements.
