Accounts Receivable Specialist

JOB SUMMARY:

This new position is an in-office role, with the expectation of collaborative work performed with our team during regular business hours at our St. Louis Corporate Headquarters in Maryland Heights, Missouri, near Westport Plaza. There is some flexibility in hours and an occasional work-from-home option.

The Accounts Receivable Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of customer invoices, payments, and account reconciliations. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to our financial success while enhancing operational efficiencies. The Accounts Receivable Specialist will report to the Accounting Manager and join a dynamic team where precision and collaboration are valued. Key responsibilities include managing customer accounts, resolving payment discrepancies, and maintaining excellent customer relationships, while focusing on collecting accounts overdue.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Process, review, and reconcile customer invoices and payments in an accurate and timely manner.
• Monitor customer accounts to ensure timely collections and address overdue balances.
• Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies and disputes in coordination with customers and internal teams.
• Prepare and analyze accounts receivable aging reports.
• Ensure accurate entry and maintenance of customer information in the financial system.
• Collaborate with the Sales and Customer Service teams to address account-related inquiries.
• Support the month-end and year-end closing processes by reconciling AR accounts.
• Assist in implementing process improvements for the accounts receivable function.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

• B.S. in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 3 years of experience in Accounts Receivable or a similar role.
• Proficiency in accounting software (experience with SAP B1 preferred, but not required).
• Strong understanding of invoicing, payment processing, and reconciliations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with a high degree of accuracy.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office Suite applications.
• Exceptional communication and customer service skills.

In this salaried position, you will be compensated weekly and provided full premium benefits after 90 days.
