About the role: We are seeking a skilled Residential/Commercial Service and Installation Electrician to join our team in Dekalb, IL. This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrician systems in both residential and commercial settings. The ideal candidate will have experience working with a variety of electrical components, be familiar with local electrical codes, and provide excellent customer service.

Responsibilities:
- Install and repair electrical equipment and fixtures
- Install various types of raceway and cable tray systems
- Troubleshoot motor and control systems, circuits, etc.
- Perform routine maintenance on electrical wiring and systems
- All types of conduit-bending & wire-pulling
- Adhere to all quality and safety codes including City of Chicago Codes
- Must be versed on OSHA safety/climbing/electrical circuitry
- Communicate with customers to assess electrical needs, explain work performed, and provide recommendations for improvements
Qualifications:
- Experience in both residential and commercial electrical work. Minimum 3 years preferred.
- Familiarity with electrical schematics, blueprints, and manuals
- Familiarity with electrical equipment and hand tools
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Must be able to work independently and able to follow directions
- Must have dependable truck / van [Able to haul ladders & misc. materials]
- Must be willing to travel to various projects during daytime hours M-F for service calls
- Possible evening & weekend hours and/or Saturday & Sunday for service calls
- Applicant must able to speak/write/read English fluently
- Clean-cut with NO History of alcohol and/or substance abuse
- Must be able to pass a criminal background and motor vehicle background check.
Compensation: upto $30-$40/hour. Compensation will be determined based on the experience level.
