Position Summary
The Billing Specialist II plays a key role in ensuring accurate and profitable billing processes within the restoration industry. This position is responsible for preparing complete billing packages across various platforms while adhering to insurance carrier, third-party administrator, and customer service level agreements (SLAs). The ideal candidate will collaborate with internal teams and external adjusters to ensure timely approvals and foster long-term business relationships.
Responsibilities
- Create profitable and complete billing packages on all billing platforms.
- Adhere to insurance carrier, third-party administrator, and customer SLAs.
- Consistently completing all compliance tasks on time and basic line-item initial uploads within job tracking systems.
- Build great relationships with insurance adjusters to help ensure repeat business built on trust.
- Collaborate with internal project managers, job coordinators, and production teams to create timely and accurate bills while providing constructive feedback.
- Track billing packages until client approval.
- Attend and participate in all training and meeting sessions as assigned.
- Complete on-call duties as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned or apparent.
Skills/Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent disaster restoration industry experience.
- Strong organizational skills; ability to effectively prioritize competing responsibilities with the highest attention to detail.
- Customer-centric attitude serving our (home/business owner) policyholders and insurance adjusters.
- Desire to excel in a fast-paced 24/7/365 emergency services (disaster restoration) business.
- Xactware proficiency.
- General computer proficiency—e.g., email, MS Office, CRM software, etc.
Work Environment
This role is 100% remote.
Physical Demands
Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Must have the ability to lift and small carry parcels, packages and other items, to walk short distances, and sit for extended periods of time.
