Position Summary
The entry-level Water Restoration Technician plays a crucial role in monitoring, inspecting, and performing tasks related to water restoration projects, including drying, demolition, and other restoration activities. This role involves preparing and reviewing detailed documentation, including notes, photographs, and reports, in compliance with company policies to facilitate accurate insurance reimbursement. Additionally, the technician communicates directly with customers, explaining the restoration processes and outlining next steps toward resolution to ensure a clear and professional experience.
Responsibilities
- Completes assigned projects in accordance with company procedures, ensuring consistent quality control throughout each job.
- Perform water damage restoration tasks, including water extraction, content pack-outs, disposal of non-salvageable materials, and light construction or demolition as directed by the supervisor.
- Properly handle equipment, supplies, vehicles, and products, promptly reporting any malfunctions or damage to the supervisor.
- Conduct daily monitoring and complete tasks on water restoration jobs for residential and commercial clients with a sense of urgency.
- Adjust the drying plan daily based on meter readings to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Inspect completed jobs, secure customer signatures for approval, and request payments as needed.
- Other duties as assigned or apparent.
Skills/Qualifications
Required
- Must be physically able to perform restoration tasks and lift heavy objects when required.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain quality control standards.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred
- Previous experience in restoration, construction, or a related field is preferred.

Work Environment
This is an in-field position that requires frequent travel to and from active jobsites. Jobsites may contain asbestos, microbial growth, lead, or other hazardous materials; personal protective equipment or PPE will be provided.
Jobsites may or may not have electricity; expect to work in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.
Physical Demands
This position will typically require the employee to stand or walk for extended periods of time and may involve heavy manual labor. Expect to stand, sit, walk, bend, stoop, reach, lift, push, pull, and carry items often for this position.
