Position Summary
The Water Technician plays a crucial role in managing and executing restoration projects, including those involving water and microbial damage. As the Water Technician, you will oversee the hands-on restoration efforts, coordinate with other team members, and ensure that work is completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. Your role includes training and mentoring new team members, implementing restoration procedures, and serving as the primary point of contact for customers and subcontractors during the restoration process.
Responsibilities
- Lead and perform restoration tasks such as water extraction, drying, demolition, removal, and decontamination according to industry best practices and project specifications.
- Conduct thorough inspections and evaluations of damaged properties, document findings, and develop restoration plans and scopes of work.
- Communicate directly with clients, adjustors, carriers, subcontractors, and insurance agents to explain the restoration process, address concerns, and provide regular updates on project progress.
- Schedule and coordinate subcontractors, as necessary.
- Operate and maintain restoration equipment and tools, ensuring they are in good working condition and used safely.
- Monitor work quality, perform final inspections, and ensure that all tasks are completed to meet or exceed industry standards and client expectations.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, including daily logs, photos, and progress reports.
- Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and uploaded into the correct application(s).
- Adhere to and enforce all safety procedures and regulations, ensuring a safe work environment and minimizing risks to team members and clients.
- Provide support for on-the-job training and guidance to less experienced technicians, sharing knowledge and best practices to improve overall team performance.
- Participate in the on-call rotation.
- Other duties as assigned or apparent.

Preferred

Work Environment
This is an in-field position that requires frequent travel to and from active jobsites. Jobsites may contain asbestos, microbial growth, lead, or other hazardous materials; personal protective equipment or PPE will be provided.
Jobsites may or may not have electricity; expect to work in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.
Physical Demands
This position will typically require the employee to stand or walk for extended periods of time and may involve heavy manual labor. Expect to stand, sit, walk, bend, stoop, reach, lift, push, pull, and carry items often for this position.
