What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Development/Office Manager position at Services for Success, Inc.?
Support the Office Sales and Business Development efforts through prospecting, research, reporting, rapport building, and local networking. Support Principal by performing needed tasks to implement and maintain Tampa Bay Office operations, improve local processes, and communication.
Responsibilities:
Business Development (80%)
Assist the Tampa Partner with implementing the Office Business Plan, the Southeast Business Plan, and any other growth-oriented initiatives. To include the following:
- Conduct ongoing market research.
- Identify and research potential clients (including identification of key personnel).
- Gather useful information from customer and competitor data.
- Set up intro / follow up meetings.
- Assist with the assembling and transmittal of business development meeting summaries.
- Assist with RFP response package and project example deck assembly.
- Assist with Proposal, Addendum creation, and Job Setup.
- Maintain Salesforce opportunities for the Tampa office.
- Track and report on the status of outstanding proposals and RFPs (follow up as required).
- Work with Tampa principal and corporate marketing on local marketing campaigns.
- Establish a local network in the Tampa Bay Area by attending HBA events, ULI Events, and other networking opportunities (Estimated no more than 5 hrs./week).
Office Manager (20%)
Perform a variety of administrative tasks for the office including:
- Schedule meetings and appointments: virtually and within the office.
- Coordinate bimonthly lunch and learn meetings and presentations with AIA Approved vendors.
- Order office supplies and needed services in accordance with firm purchasing policies and budgetary restrictions.
- Plan and organize staff functions and events (i.e. Holiday Party, etc.).
- Manage all outside printing, mailing, and shipping.
- Complete additional administrative tasks as needed.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in customer service, marketing, or a sales-related field.
- Ability to self-manage and acquire necessary resources for completion of tasks.
- Strong planning and organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and be attentive to details and deadlines.
- Ability to work under tight timelines with shifting priorities.
- Forward thinking person who actively seeks opportunities and proposes solutions.
- Conscientious and flexible with a team-player attitude.
- Well-developed interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills (internal and external).
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
Education:
Bachelor's degree is preferred.
