SCOPE OF ROLE: The Support Services functions at S:US are carried out by a team of professionals with differing backgrounds who share deeply in the S:US mission. The Finance Department is looking for a detailed-oriented, organized and accurate individual to join our Finance Team as a Client Rental Accounts Manager. The selected candidate will report to the Director of Client Financial Services and will be responsible for maintaining accurate rental ledgers for all S:US Behavioral Health tenants.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review of Annual Leases
- Ensure that all leases received by the Client Financial Services team are complete, correct, and have appropriate signatures
- Properly store leases within Property Management System and track completion metrics by program
- Update rental ledgers to assure that rental charges match the lease on file
- Communicate errors to Program staff, refer to Entitlements, and discuss lease related concerns with appropriate interdepartmental staff.
- Ledger Analysis
- Review and analyze all Behavioral Health ledgers, making appropriate adjustments as required
- Stay up to date on annual COLA’s, benefit amounts for SSA and OTDA, and other pertinent information to assure that payments coming in are accurate and that tenants receive full allotted benefits
- Assist with requests from Programs, Entitlements, and any other departments as it relates to rental breakdown letters or rental arrears
- Create Aging documents on a quarterly basis and be involved in any ongoing communication regarding the rental collection process
- Maintenance and Payment of Utility Stipend
- Review utility stipend data on Resident Rental Stipend received with the annual lease.
- Keep Yardi data updated assuring funding course for rental payments
- Review and initiate utility stipends to all entitled tenants on a quarterly basis
- Other Requests as per the Manager of Accounting, Controller, SVP Of Finance or other Senior Management
Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field or 5 years equivalent work experience.
- Experience in accounting and property management software is a plus.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Proficiency with MS Excel (Pivot table and VLOOKUP – a must), Word and Outlook.
- Experience with and knowledge of Representative Payee services preferred but not required
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
