The Wellbeing & Belonging Intern is a key member of the S:US HR team and is responsible for assisting the Wellness and Diversity Manager in comprehensive support of wellness initiatives across the company. The Intern will support and drive wellness in all activities and events across the company. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. This position helps our organization's efforts in fostering a healthy and inclusive workplace and community.
- Assist in organizing/scheduling onsite events with vendor(s), location(s), staff, ordering supplies/materials
- Assist in organizing/scheduling webinars
- Send out all staff e-mails, organizational announcements and calendar invites
- Create flyers/posters/announcements on Canva and other platforms
- Create and distribute monthly newsletters
- Assist in administrative tasks to maintain current wellness program’s success
- Assist in the development and implementation of wellness initiates and events virtually and across our locations
- Create marketing and announcement materials and assist in developing strategies to drive engagement
- Manage regular wellness communication efforts through various platforms
- Collaborate with various teams to integrate wellness into every stage of employee lifecycle
- Act as a liaison with external organizations and to enhance partnerships and help foster wellbeing in the lives of our employees
- Stay informed about industry best practices, trends, and legal requirements related to wellbeing and inclusivity and incorporating them into our company’s policies and practices.
Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Experience with wellness programs, especially with employee resource groups, affinity groups or networks, in the non-profit sector.
- Strong understanding of wellness concepts, best practices, and current trends
- Sensitivity to cultural differences and a commitment to promoting equity and fairness
- This position requires hybrid on-site presence
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Experience in communication, marketing, scheduling, coordinating events and handling tasks in timely manner
- Collaborative and strategic thinker with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization
