What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory Analyst position at Services Plus?
SUMMARY:
The objective of this position is to develop and implement all policies, procedures, systems and best practices with regard to inventory, for the purpose of maintaining accurate financial information. To maintain the integrity of material inventories, and coordinate material movement in support of packaging and manufacturing activities. Individual must have ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions, investigate and analyze outages and problem-solve issues as they arise in a fast-paced environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Inventory Systems Management: Ensure accuracy of inventory records and communicate the overall framework.
Material Movement Coordination: Monitor and coordinate material movement using the ERP system, identifying and addressing gaps in processes.
Stock Counting: Conduct counts of materials and finished products, investigating any discrepancies before posting to records.
Production Support: Collect necessary job parts for production and assist with daily production line documentation like creating dockets and printing MU labels.
Training and Development: Participate in administering training programs, promoting a knowledge-sharing culture through cross-training.
Inventory Counts: Lead physical inventory counts and perform regular location and cycle counts.
Material Verification: Collect and verify materials slated for destruction and validate BOM usages.
Reporting and Metrics: Develop metrics to monitor inventory accuracy and reporting variances, ensuring timely resolution.
Collaboration and Leadership: Work closely with peers and other departments to ensure consistency across shifts and demonstrate leadership qualities.
Administrative Responsibilities: Timely completion of necessary administrative duties, acting as a backup in other areas when needed.
Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance inventory management.
Waste Monitoring: Monitor inventory waste and identify assets or shifts exceeding targets for further investigation.
End-of-Month Tasks: Complete tasks required for end-of-month inventory reports and reviews.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED). At least two years of inventory experience or advanced two-year degree in related field strongly preferred.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
Must have extensive experience with computerized inventory management or warehouse management systems. Ability to develop Excel spreadsheets for analysis and communication of inventory related information. Must become familiar with customer inventory related systems.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write work instructions and simple written or email correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute and apply ratios and percentages. Ability to apply statistical methods to inventory related activities and analysis.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Occasional use of lift truck or other material handling equipment may be needed.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and vibration. The employee occasionally works in high, precarious places and may be exposed to extreme cold, extreme heat, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
