Salary: $69,805 - $102,794 per year

Key Responsibilities
Accounting Operations
- Plan and manage the daily activities of the fiscal department.
- Oversee payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.
- Prepare monthly financial reports with analysis, ensuring compliance with GAAP.
- Maintain and enhance financial accounting systems and internal controls.
- Develop and oversee the annual and bi-annual budgeting process.
- Prepare and manage the organization’s budget and approve site-specific budgets.
- Monitor financial performance, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions.
- Coordinate annual financial and compliance audits, serving as the primary liaison with auditors.
- Ensure compliance with governmental accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct IDEA sub-recipient monitoring (GSST) and address findings as needed.
- Supervise and mentor finance department staff, including conducting performance evaluations.
- Provide training and support to staff to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Foster a collaborative and efficient team environment.
- Work with regional sites and staff to resolve financial issues and streamline processes.
- Serve as a contributing member of the State Leadership Team, participating in strategic discussions and decisions.
- Attend and contribute to meetings related to fiscal and agency matters.
- Provide insights and recommendations to improve financial processes and reporting.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (CPA and/or MBA preferred).
- At least 3 years of supervisory experience in a finance or accounting role.
- At least 3 years of experience managing an accounting office or department.
- Proficiency with computerized accounting systems (Great Plains experience preferred).
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and governmental accounting practices.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
