In-House Counsel – Insurance Expertise
Location: Encino, California

Introduction: We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled In-House Counsel with a strong background in insurance law. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of insurance matters, employment law and related matters and help with collection related matters including filing liens and negotiating with insurance carriers
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal counsel and guidance on insurance-related matters, including policy interpretation, coverage disputes, claims handling, and regulatory compliance.
- Review, draft, and negotiate contracts, subcontract agreements, labor related contracts/matters, ensuring they align with company interests and legal requirements.
- Advise internal stakeholders on risk management strategies.
- Manage and support litigation involving insurance coverage or claims, working with external counsel as necessary, assisting with filing liens and collection related matters.
- Assist in the development and implementation of internal policies and procedures regarding business and employment matters.
- Collaborate with various departments, including finance, human resources, and operations, to assist with legal needs.
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and admission to the bar in California.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience practicing insurance law, including experience in corporate or in-house settings.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- A proactive and solution-oriented approach to legal issues.
