Job Description
The Director, Associate General Counsel will serve as a key member of the legal department, responsible for managing general corporate legal and risk management tasks, with a focus on franchise law, major client national account program contract negotiations, and monitoring compliance with franchise registration and disclosure laws.
This position requires a strong understanding of franchise law and the ability to provide a wide range of legal services and support to drive business growth and success.
Responsibilities and Requirements
- Manage client national account program contract review, negotiations, and drafting.
- Ensure timely updates and filings of franchise registrations.
- Verify compliance with FDD requirements and prepare and update FDDs for distribution.
- Develop and maintain in-house materials and training programs regarding franchise disclosure laws.
- Validate compliance with franchise legal and regulatory matters.
- Ensure compliance with all disclosure and timing requirements.
- Monitor licensing of new franchises and franchise license agreement changes.
- Draft and/or review agreements and legal documents as required or requested.
