Job Summary
As a Principal Systems Engineer,you will interact with other team members representing a wide range of disciplines to develop complex Electro-Optical Systems. You will work with customers to define system requirements and operating concepts, develop the systems architecture to meet the requirements, and guide the design team to execute the systems architecture.
Position is hybrid on site (Tuesday through Thursday).
What You Will Do
- Interface with Customers and Stakeholders to understand their needs and constraints and review customer specifications and requirements
- Generate consistent, complete, correct, and operationally defined highest level system requirements, including cost requirements
- Perform trade studies, performance analysis, and cost-benefit analyses to determine the best means to meet the system requirements
- Partition the system into subsystems and components, and document component and subsystem specifications and material requirements
- Leads design engineers to ensure a robust implementation of the system architecture that meets schedule, cost, and performance requirements
- Prepare and present proposals, technical reports, position papers, and reviews (both internal and external) as needed
- Provide budget, cost and schedule input for design assignments
- Interact with technical management, other professionals, technicians and support personnel to coordinate, recommend and confer regarding technical activities and progress.

U.S. Citizenship required. This position requires an active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance within a reasonable time after commencement of employment.
