Stabil Drill is currently seeking a Full-Time HSE Coordinator to join our team in Houston, TX. **Please note: Our new facility is being built in Conroe TX with a projected opening date of June 2025.
This position is designed to support various health, safety, environment & training activities, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and company standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assists in the implementation, facilitation and maintenance of the HSE Program under the direction of the HSE Manager.
- Provides technical guidance and solutions to operational teams regarding quality, health, safety and environmental related issues, conditions and situations.
- Administers, maintains and develops HSE, training, and other programs for Stabil Drill using (KPA) safety software system.
- Lead internal facility inspections. Inspects and tours various work facilities, equipment, and vehicles to detect existing or potential hazards; recommends corrective or preventative measures.
- Travel to our facilities on a quarterly basis within the US.
- Assist in Post-accident/incident Root-Cause Analysis and corrective actions.
- Reporting, investigating, analyzing and documenting all HSE incidents in KPA and SIMS platform.
- Working knowledge and awareness of FED/OSHA, FMCSA, DOT, LADEQ, TCEQ, EPA, requirements.
- Manage chemical inventory and SDS requirements in VelocityEHS.
- Manage Hazard Identification tool, JSA, MOC, and Observation Report management. Recommends control measures of exposure to hazardous materials or conditions.
- Manage ISnetworld and Veriforce databases.
- Assist with improving company culture, including HSE-related motivation programs that will increase proficiency in safe practices and promote safety consciousness.
- Perform any other delegated duties considered appropriate in order to maintain the efficient running of the department.
Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent general education degree (GED) required.
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years HSE experience.
- Equivalent combination of experience and/or training.
Knowledge/Skills/abilities:
- Knowledge of pertinent regulations including: OSHA, EPA, FMCSA, DOT, LADEQ, TCEQ
- Knowledge competency and experience in HSE issues, procedures and processes.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office applications to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Building and maintaining positive customer relationships, internal or external.
- Identifying problems and reviewing information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
- Using logic and reasoning to identity the strengths, weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
- Accurately complete/maintain necessary reports/records in a timely manner.
- Collect research and analyze data.
- Commit to long hours of work when necessary to reach common goals.
- Communicate effectively both written and verbal at all levels within the organization.
- Deal with frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events.
- Ability to travel frequently.
