Stabil Drill is currently seeking a Full-Time Shop Technician to join our team in Houston, TX.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Dismantle tools, repair, and reassemble for jobs.
- Responsible for the cleanliness, pressure washing, maintenance and proper disposal of debris on property. Including general shop, breakroom, & cleanup.
- Assist in loading and unloading equipment while operating a forklift.
- Assist in special projects.
- Shop organization and supply storage. Including daily and weekly inventory.
- Receiving and distribution of supplies.
- Assist with the movement of tools.
- Assist in daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance on equipment.
- May operate a shop truck for local errands and deliveries.
- Follow established safety policies and procedures.
- On a rotation basis, will be required to be on call when scheduled.
- Ensure full awareness of, and compliance with, the requirements of all relevant company/customer QHSE handbooks, QHSE procedures and emergency procedures.
- Perform any other delegated duties considered appropriate to maintain the efficient running of the department.
Education/Experience/Abilities:
- High school diploma or equivalent general education degree (GED) preferred.
- Current knowledge of equipment, materials, and practices used in the oil/gas industry.
- Complete tasks and follow oral and written instructions with minimal supervision.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Good communication and troubleshooting skills.
- Accurately complete/maintain necessary reports/records in a timely and legible manner, in accordance with applicable procedures and/or work order.
