We pride ourselves on providing a superlative guest experience and this is what drives us. The Activity Center Attendant provides warm and welcoming support to guests who wish to enjoy our lakeside activities such as the firepit, pool, lawn games, kayaks, and stand-up paddleboards. The Activity Center Attendant works closely with the Director of Hotel Operations to ensure that equipment for lakeside activities is prepared and maintained so that guests have a memorable and fun-filled experience while staying at the hotel. The Activity Center Attendants works directly with guests to use equipment such SUPs and kayaks, maintains the safety and cleanliness of the dock area, the shoreline, the lawn, and the pool.
The ideal experienced candidate for this position has previous experience providing hospitality to guests and can work a flexible schedule that includes days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Fluent English speaking and written communication skills, good time management skills, and professional dress, speech, and behavior are all required for this position.
This is a part-time position that will start Memorial Weekend (Friday May 29th).
Responsibilities:
- Greets all customers in a warm, sincere, and helpful manner
- Ensures that work areas are clean and that equipment, tools, and supplies are properly stored including games, life jackets, paddleboards, kayaks, Adirondack chairs, and more
- Obtains and files waivers from all guests who use watercraft
- Sets up and maintains lawn games
- Ensures proper sanitation of supplies
- Empties overflowing trash and move to dumpsters
- Cleans pool area including opening/closing umbrellas, straightening out chairs and tables, and managing towels for guests
- Ensures grounds are clean and orderly
- Ensures compliance with all applicable federal and state laws and all company policies
- Sanitizes and stores all supplies and prepare them for use the next day
- Prepares paperwork such as copies of waivers for use the next day
Requirements
Qualifications:
- One year of relevant experience preferred
- Able to provide excellent hospitality to guests
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
- Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed
- Able to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
