Becoming a Team Member :

SEV Laser is looking for a Director of Learning and Development to lead the design,

execution, and oversight of company-wide learning initiatives. As part of a small, hands-on

team, this role is ideal for a self-starter with a proven ability to build Learning and Development

strategies from the ground up. The ideal candidate will combine strategic vision with practical,

day-to-day implementation skills to create impactful programs that enhance employee

performance and align with our business objectives.

This position offers flexibility for remote work, with a strong preference for candidates located

within driving distance of a SEV Laser location to facilitate on-site visits.

Responsibilities :

Learning and Development Strategy

  • Develop and lead a comprehensive Learning and Development strategy tailored to SEV Laser's unique business goals and fast-growing structure.
  • Establish a scalable framework for training programs across the company, with a focus on customer-facing roles (reception and service providers) and corporate teams.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to leadership on workforce development and training priorities.
  • Learning Management System (LMS) Implementation
  • Select, implement, and manage a Learning Management System (LMS) to centralize and streamline training efforts.
  • Ensure the LMS meets the needs of a diverse workforce, offering intuitive access and functionality for all teams.

Curriculum Development and Instructional Design

  • Develop engaging, practical, and effective training curriculums for receptionists and service providers, emphasizing customer service, technical skills, sales and operational excellence.
  • Design and deliver instructional materials, including e-learning modules, workshops, training manuals, and other learning resources.
  • Leverage adult learning principles and innovative methodologies to ensure programs are engaging and impactful.
  • Program Delivery and Oversight

  • Lead hands-on training sessions and workshops to ensure employees receive personalized, high-quality learning experiences.
  • Develop a team of in-house trainers including District Managers and Office Managers to shepherd learning experiences.
  • Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness using key performance indicators, feedback, and ROI metrics, continuously improving content and delivery.
  • Serve as an advocate for employee growth and development, fostering a culture of learning at all levels.
  • Leadership and Collaboration

  • Partner closely with leadership, operations, and HR to identify training gaps and implement tailored solutions.
  • Act as a mentor and coach to employees and managers, providing guidance on professional growth and skill development.
  • Collaborate with a small, cross-functional team to ensure alignment
  • Skills & Qualifications :

    Scheduling Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Organizational Development, Human Resources, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • 7 years of experience in Learning and Development in a multi-unit environment, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven ability to build and execute Learning and Development strategies in a hands-on
  • capacity.
  • Expertise in implementing and managing Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Strong curriculum development and instructional design skills, including experience with
  • e-learning tools and content creation.
  • Exceptional communication, project management, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Comfort working in a small, fast-paced, hands-on team environment.
  • Preferred Experience

  • Knowledge of the beauty, wellness, or medical spa industry.
  • Experience training customer-facing teams and service providers.
  • Certifications in L&D, such as CPTD or ATD, are a plus.

  • Remote work may be considered for this role. Candidates located within driving distance of a SEV Laser location are strongly preferred to facilitate occasional on-site visits and in-person engagement.
