The Assistant Project Manager works as part of a program management team, managing programs consisting of multiple projects for our multi-site clients while acting as an extension of an owners design and construction staff, overseeing the work of general contractors, designers and vendors. The Assistant Project Manager assists the Project Manager with client project and program delivery, including pre-construction services (bid, permit, and schedule), construction oversight (construction, change orders, invoicing, and punch lists), and project closeout.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assists Project Manager with on-site review of construction progress against project schedule.
- Proactively communicates project related issues directly with project team.
- Reviews construction documentation including drawings, schedules, and scopes to help assist in delivery of project.
- Assists Project Manager with monitoring and reporting on project work in the field.
- Assists project team with project reporting and documentation requirements.
- Follows established standards and procedures for project reporting and documentation.
- Provides input to weekly status reports for projects.
- Learns project management skills through exposure to projects and programs.
- Attends project meetings as required.
- Develops relationships with clients, potential clients, subcontractors and vendors.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 4-year degree in an accredited construction related program or equivalent
- 2-4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated skills in project management and time management.
- Experience in multi-site projects preferred.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and timelines at once with tight deadlines.

Pay & Benefits:
The anticipated compensation range for the position is $80,000 - $90,000, is based on a full-time schedule, market and business conditions, and is commensurate on individual education, qualifications, and experience. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurances, flexible paid time off, paid holidays, sick time, and a matching 401K plan.
