The Role

We are seeking a Senior Packaging Engineer to join our talented team and play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and optimizing innovative packaging solutions. In this position, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure our products meet the highest standards of quality, functionality, and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

• You will perform feasibility and machinability reviews on new business opportunities with priority customers.
• In conjunction with the Strategic Sourcing and Procurement teams, you will test, analyze, and determine raw materials for new products based on durability and cost effectiveness.
• You will translate customer requirements into product and process specifications, so the resulting packaging product meets or exceeds the needs of the customer.
• You will utilize knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field of packaging engineering and new product development.
• You will develop and execute on product specific qualification and testing protocols for internal and external (customer) trials for new business development, which may include in-person participation in the manufacturing environments at the business and at their customer’s locations.
• You will act as the lead technical point of contact for the customers you are assigned to work with.

About You

• You have a degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or another closely related technical field.
• You have 5 years of experience in a product development or packaging engineering environment.
• Someone who is a team player with a desire to work in groups to achieve significant results.
• Have experience leading cross-functional teams in a manufacturing environment.
• You have a proven track record of managing multiple projects (5 ) concurrently using proven and standard methods of project management.
• You have working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
• You have working knowledge of flexible packaging manufacturing and filling equipment and basic knowledge of plastic films.
