JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Solid Waste Collector to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the efficient collection and disposal of waste materials. This role reports to the Maintenance Manager and will play a vital role in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in the community.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operates trash collector.
- Collects trash from all the condominium buildings.
- Picks up trash dumpster from various locations and transports to trash compactor.
- Operates trash compactor.
- Drive safely and efficiently to designated routes for waste collection.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment/compactor and report any problems to the Maintenance Manager.
- Repairs dumpster wheels.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures while on the job.
- Keeps trash rooms neat and orderly.
- Other related duties as required or requested.
- Abide by all current policies and procedures.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
- Previous experience in waste collection or waste management is advantageous but not required.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and demonstrate a strong work ethic.
- Must possess general maintenance background.
PHYSICAL / EMOTIONAL DEMANDS
Strenuous indoor and outdoor labor required year-round. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and operate heavy equipment and power tools. Must be in good physical condition to perform daily tasks that require climbing, bending, stooping, etc.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week

- Commercial driving: 1 year (Preferred)
