The Chief Nursing Officer is responsible for leading and managing the nursing department to ensure high-quality patient care.
Nursing Leadership Responsibilities
- Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures that align with hospital goals and objectives.
- Direct and supervise nursing staff to ensure adequate hospital coverage and quality care.
- Collaborate with hospital leaders to design and provide patient care and services.
- Develop and manage the nursing budget and expense control system.
- Evaluate long and short-range equipment and supply requirements for nursing care.
- Direct, plan, and implement orientation and educational programs to promote staff training and development.
Qualifications
- Licensed Registered Nurse with knowledge of nursing principles, theories, and practice standards.
- Master's Degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration required.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of CNO experience in an investor-owned healthcare organization.
