Position Summary
The Process Automation Technician is responsible for monitoring variables within the stringer processes and making necessary adjustments. This role includes regular review of production schedules, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, inventory management of spare parts, and maximizing machine up-time and string quality.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Support production and ensure equipment process integrity
- Collect and evaluate operating/quality data for equipment/recipe adjustment
- Perform periodic checking of machine process parameters and recipes
- Monitor manufacturing processes and identify/correct deviations
- Conduct equipment inspection, cleaning, and maintenance
- Document routine manufacturing processes
- Identify areas for improvement and optimize machine performance
- Perform root cause analysis for machine failures and quality defects
- Provide technical solutions through process improvement
- Train other employees and update training manuals
- Participate in productivity and quality improvement programs
Required Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a STEM or technical program (e.g., Microelectronics, Electronic Engineering Technology) or currently pursuing such a degree
- Minimum 6 months hands-on experience in a technical field
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- High mechanical, electrical, and electromagnetic aptitude
- Strong attention to detail and precision
- Ability to work rotating shifts
- Team-oriented mindset
- Commitment to continuous learning
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 years work experience in fully/semi-automated manufacturing
- nowledge of PLC, HMI, electro-pneumatic systems, pneumatic/hydraulic systems, electrical wiring, vision systems, VFDs, and chemical processes
