Maintenance Technician
Role: The Maintenance Technician, reporting to the Property and Operations Manager, will perform general maintenance tasks and repairs to care for and upkeep Severns Valley Baptist Church.
Position: Part-time (15-20 hrs/wk)

Role: The Maintenance Technician, reporting to the Property and Operations Manager, will perform general maintenance tasks and repairs to care for and upkeep Severns Valley Baptist Church.

Responsibilities:
- Routinely check the church calendar to stay informed about upcoming events.
- Perform routine maintenance checks and tasks.
- Handle building repairs.
- Manage the exterior of the building.
- Perform maintenance updates/repairs as necessary.
- Ensure the facility/property remains clean and ready for use.
- Vacuum, mop, take out garbage, and perform general cleaning duties.
- Set up/tear down rooms for events.
- Maintain a safe and secure environment for all ages.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Committed Christian living in accordance with the Word of God.
- Agreement with the doctrinal statement and by-laws of our church.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new approaches.
- Ability to obtain necessary training and practical experience.
- Strong decision-making skills and ability to hold others accountable.
- Good working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
